Operatore con imbraco Concordia durante il cantiere di recupero del relitto Costa Concordia

Genesis

Born on the wreck of the Costa Concordia

The OTS Contractor Concordia was born in the field, from the real needs of the operators engaged in the salvage operation of the Costa Concordia wreck, off Giglio Island. The worksite demanded long shifts at mid-water, where full autonomous buoyancy control was not a detail but an operational necessity. That experience gave rise to the Concordia's rear air cell, built to give the operator complete freedom of adjustment at every stage of the intervention.

The Concordia advantage

The air volume sits behind you. Buoyancy is your call.

Unlike traditional jackets, the Concordia's air sits in a rear air cell. The operator controls buoyancy with full autonomy: negative to bear down on the bottom, neutral to move, positive to ascend. Chest and arms stay free, the volume stays behind, freedom of movement is total.

Negative. Neutral. Positive. Buoyancy is your choice.
Buoyancy control

One vest, three ways to work

The rear air cell concentrates lift where it belongs and lets you decide how to sit in the water, moment by moment.

Negative

Bear down on the bottom. Absolute stability for heavy work, anchoring and tool use.

Neutral

Working trim. Move and operate effortlessly, suspended exactly where you need to be.

Positive

Ascent and surface under control. Instant lift when it matters.

Frequently asked questions · OTS Concordia Harness

What is the Concordia's rear air cell?
It is an interchangeable air cell mounted on the operator's back, concentrating lift at the highest point of the body. Unlike traditional jackets with a front chamber, the rear cell frees the chest and arms and allows the operator to freely choose their buoyancy in the water.
What capacities does the Concordia's air cell have?
The cell is available in 5 interchangeable sizes: 20, 27, 22/35, 40 and 40+40 litres. The outer shell is in Cordura® 1000 with extreme abrasion resistance (Kevlar® optional); the inner bladder is in Soltane F/B 400®.
Can the operator choose negative, neutral or positive buoyancy?
Yes. The operator controls buoyancy with full autonomy via the piston inflator: negative for bottom stability during heavy work, neutral for operational movement, positive for ascent and surface.
What materials does the Concordia use?
Harness in Hypalon neoprene 1500 with reinforced seams, Cordura® 1000 for the outer cell, Soltane F/B 400® bladder and AISI 316 stainless steel for triangle, D-rings and S.T.A. Configurable backplate in steel, aluminium or carbon.
Is the Concordia compatible with single and twin tanks?
Yes. Brackets for single and twin tanks are included in the standard configuration, allowing use with a single or double tank without structural modifications.
What is the price of the OTS Concordia harness?
Price is on request, reserved for professional operators. Contact milpro@divesystem.com for a personalised quote based on air cell, backplate and quantity.
